My husband and I are so glad we found Stephanie. We couldn’t have made it through our wedding day without her. She made everything run smoothly and it allowed us not to worry about all the details on our wedding day. Stephanie definitely takes charge and knows the wedding business inside and out. Even though I hired her as a “day-of” coordinator, she helped out beyond the wedding day. The week of the wedding she contacted all the vendors and made a detailed timeline of when everyone was arriving and when items were being dropped off. I’m a pretty detailed person but Stephanie coordinated and organized things I hadn’t even thought of. If you’re considering a “day of” coordinator, do it! It’ll be the best money you will spend. One of the first things everyone wants when they are hiring a wedding coordinator is to feel important. Important enough to receive the advice, the attention, and the best they would provide for all of their clients no matter how far the budget can take the event. Stephanie was the first person to respond and treat us as if we were the most important clients she had. Stephanie helped us develop and meet our budget goals and provided us with vendors she trusted would treat us with the upmost respect and provide a service we will remember forever. She knows her vendors and you can trust her when she gives you advice on using the vendors she suggests in comparison to the outside vendors you try to pick for yourself...In all honesty, Stephanie was honest and up front and provided her professional opinion appropriately. On the day of the reception, she met all of the vendors early to provide direction for our vision, direction to make the most out of a very fast paced event, and she went above and beyond after the party. Overall, when the day arrives I can promise you that there is no other person I would recommend to be in your corner with her credentials than Stephanie. In the beginning, my family thought there was no need for me to hire a wedding planner, but for a 17-hour wedding day, I knew I would need one. From the start, Stephanie answered my emails promptly and concisely. I only hired her to help me on the day of the wedding, but Stephanie was there for me the entire way. Her advice and guidance helped me save so much money, from invitations to centerpieces to guest favors. She became my wedding guru. Because our wedding was so involved, I had so many things to worry about, but once the day came, all of my worries were taken away. Stephanie never stopped working. My parents and Alan's (my husband's) parents were very impressed with how Stephanie worked. Cambodians do not usually hire wedding planners, but our parents commended us for choosing such a great planner. Although Stephanie never planned a Cambodian wedding, she was very gracious to guests and was very excited to learn how we did things. I know it was very different for her, and I appreciate what she did for us so much. Stephanie was not only complimented by our parents, but also by our minister, the band, our DJ, and the venue where we had our wedding. Once the night was over, she knew we wanted to have a special exit, so she prepared EVERYTHING to make sure we had an easy, fun, stress-free exit. When we left the reception site, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Stephanie is now a part of mine and Alan's life. I love her enthusiasm for weddings. I love how she puts the bride and groom first. I love that she says, "There are no rules. You're the bride. It's whatever you want." We went back and forth about choosing to hire a coordinator to help us on the day of our wedding for months before we actually decided to go for it. I am convinced that choosing to have a day of coordinator was one of the smartest decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. We were even smarter for asking Stephanie from One Event Design to be ours. From communicating with vendors beforehand to helping with my falling bustle several times during the reception to staying late to make sure everything was clean before we left, Stephanie was a busy woman. There were questions from vendors and last minute decisions that needed to be made that Stephanie was there to help us with, which I so appreciated. It was invaluable to have her there with us, as neither my (now) husband or I were very knowledgeable about many of the details that go into coordinating a wedding. Not only were we able to step back and really take in all of the joy around us because of Stephanie’s presence, but our family members were able to do so as well. First I have to say that I do not like surprises. I'm the kind of girl who will shake all her Christmas presents on Christmas eve and try to figure out what is what! However, my girlfriends wanted to surprise me on the day of my baby shower. They hired Stephanie to help decorate for my first baby shower. I have never been more pleasantly surprised! The main thing I want to emphasize here is "personal touches". My husband and I didn't do the traditional decorations in our nursery...we are doing a pirate theme and that's what I wanted for the shower as well. Stephanie must have spent hours shopping for pirate themed merchandise to not only decorate with but to also use for our son's new room if I wanted. She used fishing nets, a pirate ship, a ships wheel and a treasure chest full of cute pirate clothes! She even printed small treasure maps out for "mommy advice" cards and personally burned each one to give it an authentic treasure map feel. She also had a gift for my husband which was a black/white skull and crossbones football which he absolutely loved. I was absolutely amazed with the attention to detail! She set everything up and when the shower was over promptly removed serving dishes, etc and helped clean our kitchen! The baby shower was an absolute success! I would highly recommend Stephanie to host your next party of any kind! She will spend the time to get to know your personal needs, what your ideas are and run with them....she over delivered in my opinion!

One Event Design provided excellent services in planning and then coordinating a “masquerade ball” style party for our daughter's seventeenth birthday. Stephanie was enthusiastic, organized and well prepared. She held a planning session with us bringing a lot of creative ideas and pictures to help us visualize the plan. She also coordinated with the facility where the party was held making sure all of the details were addressed. On the day of the event, she had everything ready well in advance of the party. She provided superb customer service to our family and guests. The decorations, food and drink serving tables were beautifully done. One of the “fun features” she provided was the mens' and womens' restroom care kits with essentials such as mouthwash, mints and hairspray etc. She also assisted us in coordinating a DJ who was very good and in addition to the great job he did, was very polite and professional. He did an excellent job of both playing the music our daughter had requested and keeping the guests engaged. We were very pleased with the attention and service we received from One Event Design. We would highly recommend this business to anyone planning their special event.

It is three months after my wedding and I am still receiving compliments from friends and family on how much they enjoyed the entire experience. While I wish I could take credit for the extraordinary day, honestly, the only part I can claim responsibility for is the wise decision to hire our planner Stephanie Watkins. This woman took me from overwhelmed bride with little direction to a gal glowing as she floated down the aisle. Stephanie provides the perfect balance of listening and guiding. She immediately honed in on my tastes and matched me with appropriate vendors. She always remained open to any of my suggestions and willingly attended appointments with potential service providers I had unearthed on my own. When I was up for nights on end putting our invitations together, Stephanie kept sending words of encouragement. She speaks the language of caterers, florists, designers, and servers. Stephanie was my Rosetta Stone in the world of formal entertaining. If things went awry, she handled them so deftly, I was never made to worry or stress over the details of the day. As Stephanie saw us off into our getaway car, we realized she had managed to squeeze in a final treat…a little wedding picnic basket filled with delish noshes. Every detail had been seen to and we just got to sit back, snack, and revisit all of the elegant events of the day.
